『捌』 音乐剧＜猫＞的剧情
1981年5月11日，音乐剧《猫》在伦敦首演，从此一炮打红，并凭难以打破的票房纪录成为英国有史以来最成功、连续公演最久的音乐剧。
1982年《猫》开始在全世界的舞台剧圣地，美国纽约的百老汇大街上公演，到2000年夏天停演，早已打破了百老汇连续公演最久而且也次数最多的记录。而直到现在.《猫》仍在伦敦西头公演。除此之外，《猫》也是美国最长的巡回演出剧目(目前为止至少已经有四次全美巡回演出)。
《猫》的介绍
第一幕
子夜的舞会使猫疯狂
在一个特殊的夜晚，每年一次的杰里科族的猫的家族庆贺会上，每个猫依次向来访的人类解释他们是谁，并且指出猫有三个名字：家庭里日常使用的名字、较高雅文气的名字和秘密的名字。
年轻天真的白猫维克多利亚跳起了独舞"请到杰里科舞会来"作为开场，他们正在等待他们的领袖--英明的老杜特罗内米，今晚由他挑选一只杰里科猫，这只猫将被派到九重天上"获得"新的生命。每一只猫都用歌曲和舞蹈来讲述自己的故事，希望能够被选中成为获得重生的杰里科猫。
珍尼安尼朵茨是一只老刚比猫，她整天不是睡觉就是闲逛；"兰塔塔格"，是一只爱搞恶作剧、对异性魅力十足的猫；被遗弃的"富有魅力的格里泽贝拉"是一只杰里科猫，她已离群多年，到外面的世界去闯荡，这次她发誓要回到家族里；强壮的"布斯托夫·琼"是只25磅重的猫，他把时间都花在吃上；突然一阵雷鸣般的碰撞声，警笛声大作，邪恶的猫麦克维第大摇大摆地来了；"蒙哥杰瑞和兰普利第泽"是一个爱开开玩笑、爱搞作剧的捣蛋鬼小组，老是给他们家惹麻烦；

第二幕
夏天为何迟到，时光怎样流逝
"剧院猫格斯"是一位老演员，曾经与他那个时代的最伟大的演员共事过，他正受着痛风之苦。"铁路猫斯金伯·申克斯"是所有猫的友善大叔。邪恶的麦克维第绑架了老杜特罗内米，麦克维第装成老杜特罗内米，有两只猫认出他来：一只是蒂米特(吓坏了的小猫)，一只是最性感的大个子猫鲍巴露瑞娜(无忧无虑的女孩)。麦克维第的恶行使他得到了一个浑名--"犯罪的拿破仑";麦克维第被揭穿后与曼库斯特拉普及其他的雄猫打了起来，他把电线弄短路使得所有的灯都熄灭了，杰里科猫陷入黑暗之中。兰塔塔格叫来"米斯特腓力先生"，要他施魔法找回领袖。米斯特腓力成功了，灯又亮了。老杜特罗内米决定哪一只杰里科猫将获得重生的时刻到了。此时，格里泽贝拉以"回忆"一曲唱起过去的事情。家族接受了她的回归。她被选为"去九重天"而获新生的猫！
